 Shu Qi (Chinese : 舒淇 ; pinyin: Shū Qí; Wade–Giles : Shu Ch'i; born April 16,
1976) is the stage name of a Taiwanese actress born Lin Li-Hui (林立慧 ). Her
stage name is occasionally romanized as Hsu Chi or Shu Kei ( Cantonese /
Japanese). Her name is sometimes seen in the Western order as Qi Shu.
Early life
Born in Xindian, Taipei County (now New Taipei City), the young Shu Qi
moved to Hong Kong at the age of 17. She began in the softcore porn
modelling industry, appearing on the cover of Penthouse Hong Kong for
February 1995 issue and the Chinese edition of Playboy magazine. She
eventually came under the management of Hong Kong producer Manfred
Wong, who signed her on to several softcore Hong Kong films such as Sex &
Zen II in 1996.
Career
She starred in Derek Yee's 1996 film, Viva Erotica , which was about the erotic
film industry in Hong Kong, opposite Karen Mok and the late Leslie Cheung.
At the Hong Kong Film Awards , she received the Best Supporting Actress
award for the film. Since then, she has appeared in mainstream Hong Kong
films such as Gorgeous (1998) opposite Jackie Chan , Stanley Kwan's The
Island Tales (1999) and Hou Hsiao-Hsien 's critically acclaimed Millennium
Mambo (2000).

In 2002, she appeared in the French blockbuster film The Transporter and the
Asian action film So Close . In 2004, she played the main role in the Hong
Kong horror film The Eye 2 .
In 2005, she won the Best Actress Award at the 2005 Golden Horse Awards
for her three roles in Hou Hsiao-Hsien 's Three Times .
From 2006-2009, she was selected by Kenzo to be part of the third
advertising campaign for its successful fragrance, Flower by Kenzo . She also
worked as a spokesperson for Shiatzy Chen .
In 2008, she was member of the jury of the Berlinale , the Berlin
International Film Festival. In that same year, she starred in a romantic
comedy film If You Are the One directed by acclaimed director Feng
Xiaogang alongside Ge You . The film has been very successful at the Chinese
box office earning over ¥364 million (US$53.7 million) at the box office.
In 2009, she was member of the jury at the Cannes Film Festival.

Reputation
Despite her involvements in softcore films during her early stage of career,
Shu Qi successfully overcame the pressure stemming from conservative
Chinese culture and gained her popularity through her acting talent and
attractive appearance.
Shu Qi represents Frederique Constant in Asia as brand ambassador since
2008. Shu Qi, Frederique Constant and Paint-a-Smile Foundation
transformed the murals on the walls of the cardiology department at the
Beijing Children's Hospital in 2009. 
Shu Qi has also been Emporio Armani's Asian ambassador since its Fall/
Winter 2010 collection.

Barbie Hsu also known as Dà S (大S) (Chinese徐熙媛pinyinXú XīyuánWade–Giles: Hsü Hsi-yüan was born on 6 October 1976. She is a Taiwanese actressand singer. She is most well known for her role as Shan Cai in Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden, an adaptation of the Japanese manga Boys Over Flowers andMars with Vic Chou of F4. She has also acted in movies, her first being the Chinese movie The Ghost Inside. She also had a singing career prior to her acting career. She was in a duo group called "S.O.S." (Sisters of Shu) with her sister Dee Hsu. Their last album was called Abnormal Girls. Due to the nature of the term S.O.S, they changed their group name to ASOS (A Sisters of Shu).[citation needed]
Barbie Hsu has endorsed Tissot watches since 2005 and signed an additional 3-year contract in April 2008.
On 16 November 2010, Barbie married Chinese entrepreneur Wang Xiaofei (汪小菲) in a civil ceremony Beijing and held the wedding banquet on Hainan Island on 22 March 2011.

  • In 2004, she became the main actress in CTS and SET drama "100% Senorita" 《千金百分百》 and later took part in TTV Drama "In Love With A Rich Girl" 《愛上千金美眉》.
  • In 2005, she participated in SET and TTV drama "The Prince Who Turns Into a Frog" 《王子變青蛙》. This drama broke many records for Taiwanese drama serials.
