Moon Chae Won debuted in the teen drama as
key actress with Lee Min Ho in "Mackerel Run" in 2007. Then made her
first movie debut with Lee Min Ho for her first
screen in supporting role as Lee Eun Shil in teen movie "My School's
E.T". Although she could transcend both teen characters differently, but
she only received attention when she acted as kisaeng Jeong Hyang
in The
Painter of the Wind. Although her
character Jeong Hyang was just a small supporting actress role, and it was only
her first ancient drama and 2 tv drama in her acting career. Yet her beauty and
charisma charmed the TV viewers. she played a beautiful gisaeng who falls
for Moon Geun-young, who passes herself of as a man. Her partnership with Moon Geun-young as screen
lover was so appealing until they both won the record winning SBS 2008 Best
Screen Couple Awards by most popular vote. For the first in Korean drama
history, two actress for their lesbian love became the Best Screen Couple, and
it was quite an accomplishment for a young actress in her beginning career.
Career Turning Point in 2010
The following year, Moon performed as the privileged Yoo
Seung Mi in popular Korean drama Brilliant Legacy and
the girl-next-door, where she was bright and energetic Yeo Ui Joo in Take Care of the
Young Lady. Then her acting career
suddenly received a slow down, for almost 8 months she did not received any
works, her only break was less than one episode appearance in “Road Number One”
as an army medical doctor Min Young Jin, though only a short part, yet, she
remain her excellent acting standard.

point of her career. On an more than 2 months International internet voting

received attention from the film industry.
She was then invited by famous film agency Barunson
Entertainment to join their group in October 2010. Immediately Moon Chae Won
was given the lead role in It's Okay, Daddy's Girl. as Eun
Chae Ryung.Super Junior’s Donghae as the lead’s younger brother,
who works multiple jobs to keep his family afloat; and CN Blue’s Kang Min-hyuk, who plays a
delivery boy and drummer in a band. In "It’s Okay, Daddy’s Girl",
Moon Chae-won plays someone very different from those previous characters; Moon
can seem mature for her age (she’s 25), but her character Chae-ryung is
completely immature. (At least, at the start of the drama.) Chae-ryung is the
type of girl who has her daddy wrapped around her little finger, and who’s not
above whining and pouting because she wants a designer handbag, like a young
child. Then transcend her character to mature professional woman in later stage
of the drama after her family faced tragic. Her role was appealing until when
the drama was half way aired Moon Chae Won received nomination as Best Actress
for SBS Drama Awards

Chae Won has iron will, with the supports from her best friends,Moon Geun-young, Han Hyo Joo and her senior, Son Ye Jin, she was determine to do her best
to turn around the critics. Although by August 10, 2011, her movie "Arrow
The Ultimate Weapons" started in screening with huge success, immediately
within 3 days, it received over one million viewership. The media was desperate
to interview the sole lead actress. However, Moon Chae Won turned down all
interviews and focus on her role as Se-Ryung in the drama "The Princess
Man". She did not rest for days to drew herself into the sad stage of
Se-Ryung, until her acting moved and shocked the film industry, and won her
applause and outstanding viewership to make the drama the top rating drama. 2

above in 2011, Moon Chae Won received special attention from the public. She

I disagree that you said "For the first in Korean drama history, two actress for their lesbian love became the Best Screen Couple,"?
TumugonBurahinJeong Hyang loves the painter Shin Yoon Bok (MGY) as a man, she didn't know that Yoon BOk was a woman, and almost did suicide after Yoon BOk was forced by situation to tell her the secret.
And Shin Yoon Bok (MGY) has a self-image as a boy/male since she was raised as a boy since 8 years old, in Korea boys and girls are separated since they were 7 years old. SYB said she didn't know anything about being a woman ! (Except that she has breasts and has menstruation )
So it's not truly a lesbian love like you said. Better said it's a misplaced love between a transgender and a woman, as the woman loves YB as being a man, NOT as being a woman !! Don't forget that all the people around including the King and Queen and teachers etc all thought of Yoon Bok as a male, it's natural to her as a peron being raised as a boy ! For us viewers especialy MGY played her role very well as not seeming feminine at all !!
